A spokesperson for Public Health England has confirmed that an official warning is now in place after Viagra-related hospital admissions for the over 75s TRIPLED in South Essex during December 2016.

According to Perry Niomi of PHE, an alarming number of pensioners in the county are now resorting to the Black Market to obtain the erection enhancer as many GPs are reluctant to prescribe the drug.

He said: ‘There are a number of reasons why doctors issue Viagra with extreme caution. First and foremost, it reacts with various types of blood pressure medication to create a state of sexual arousal that can last for hours.’

‘We have evidence to indicate that dealers are visiting sheltered housing blocks in the area on a daily basis to supply the drug illegally.’

‘If you hear your elderly parents discussing ‘Willy Werther’s’ or ‘Stiffymans’s Friend,’ it is highly likely that they are using street terms for Viagra.’

We spoke to one 83 year old male who didn’t want to be identified, and he said that other men of his age need to be aware of the risks when buying erection enhancement medication from an unreliable source.’

He said: ‘I was meeting a lady friend a few nights ago, and so I called an acquaintance and asked for my usual order of extra-strong.’

‘The evening went very well, but when I got home and went to bed I found it impossible to roll over. The effects still hadn’t worn off when I woke up the next morning.’

‘I almost fell down the stairs because my balance was way off, and I couldn’t get anywhere near the toaster at breakfast.’

‘Trying to resolve the problem the old-fashioned way was impossible as I have terrible arthritis, and by the time that Doctors had finished I knew that I had to seek medical attention.’

‘Having to pee from the landing was the final straw.’
