You may have heard by now that our fundraising campaign to ‘cover Katie Hopkins’ legal fees and libel damages’ has now hit the £8000 mark in less than 24 hours, with all funds actually going to The Trussell Trust foodbank charity.

However, it would appear that Katie has failed to see the funny side of it all, and on Saturday she tweeted about our campaign being ‘fraudulent’ and then deleted the tweet shortly afterwards.

Thankfully, one of our eagle-eyed readers managed to get a screenshot of that glorious moment:

KT Tweet

We won’t name her just yet in case this all goes sour, but BRAVO to you!

Now why on Earth would she Tweet about it and then swiftly take it down? Have we managed to fool her again? Is she about to unleash her legal hounds on us?

To be honest, as long as we make a sh*t tonne of money for The Trussell Trust it’s all good.

Please continue to share the campaign all over social media – click here to check it out.

Also, we are delighted that the mainstream media has now picked up on our campaign as well. Check out The IndependentEvening StandardHuffington Post
