A spokesperson for Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed that the club has taken on a new Viagra supplier after Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.

As this was the seventh consecutive time that they have failed to get past a semi, club officials have now taken action and appointed Stiffington’s of Mayfair as their first ever Viagra supplier.

In a statement, chairman Daniel Levy said: ‘Our repeated difficulty in getting past a semi has led to a great deal of concern at boardroom level, and so it is time for a fresh approach.’

‘Our flaccid defence cost us big-time at Wembley, and it doesn’t match the image of a club of our standing.’

‘The cock will ride high once again.’

Although current boss Mauricio Cappuccino wasn’t available for comment, we spoke to ex-manager Harry Redknapp about the situation.

Speaking to our Chief Reporter, he said: ‘Viagra? Handy little fella yeah I remember him. The Colombian geezer.’

‘Always puts a good shift in and gets in around the back whenever things get a bit tough.’

‘He’ll do great things at Spurs I can tell you. When they get rid of him eventually, I think I’m entitled to 10% an’ all.’

Across North London, Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger confirmed that the club has no plans to appoint a supplier for the medication.

However, he said: ‘We have a long standing relationship with KY Jelly, mainly for the fans’ benefit.’

‘I will use the remaining 74 years of my managerial career to continue to develop this commercial relationship.’
