A spokesperson for Nectar has confirmed that the rewards scheme has joined forces with What Jackboot magazine to offer readers and subscribers points when they obtain a copy.

He said: ‘We are delighted to be entering into this exciting new era with What Jackboot.’

‘After all, they are Britain’s leading publication for everything jackboot-related, including their very popular colour supplement on synchronised marching and eugenics.’

‘The process to claim points is very simple – all Nectar members need to do is link their Twitter account to their Nectar account, and then post the images online with the hashtag #andyourepayingforit.’

We asked if there were any more partnerships in the pipeline in the near future.

He said: ‘We were very close to adding the Daily Express to our list of partners as well, but apparently their marketing diversification manager was visited by the ghost of Princess Diana in a dream and she told him to reconsider.’

What Jackboot reader Nigel Barrage said: ‘It’s fantastic. Next time I’m in Caffè Nero I should have enough for a latte while I’m checking out the latest copy.’

It’s been a crazy week in the world of loyalty schemes after the separate announcement that members of the public will now be able to earn Green Shield Stamps while purchasing child slaves from a number of Central African providers.

One customer, who told Southend News Network that he wishes to remain anonymous, admitted that he was ‘excited.’

He added: ‘I must say that I’ve already upped my latest order.’

‘I reckon two more deliveries and I’ll have enough for a Morphy Richards deluxe kettle.’
