The owners of a Twitter account that retweets local business content must have been left red-faced today after it retweeted HARDCORE PORNOGRAPHY. 

Jive Local (@JiveLocal) links to jivemap.com which is described as a ‘location based social network,’ and in order to build its Twitter following it retweets content that promotes local businesses or local issues from all over the UK. 

We assume that their software automatically searches Twitter for content to share, and somehow this afternoon their 11,000+ followers were treated to an image of a lady inserting a lollypop where, err, the sun don’t shine from a ‘frontal’ perspective. 


To make sure that we don’t get banned from Facebook, we have crudely drawn over the really naughty bits, but you get the idea.

Twitter bots are usually programmed to look for certain hashtags and words. For example, a Southend retweeting account may look for ‘Southend’ or ‘Westcliff’ or ‘Subaru.’

The lesson here must be that Twitter bots lack the human touch that would be able to distinguish between ‘New bar opens in the High Street’ and ‘Who wants to see me stick this Chupa Chup in my nunny?’

Take a look if you want – it might be fun to see how long it takes them to spot it. We’re not going to tell them!

Looking at the number of retweets that it has had, there is clearly an audience out there for ‘Foxy lady.’

We just think that it might not be on a Twitter account where people are looking for the best place to get their exhaust looked at. Now there’s a euphemism …
