A spokesperson for the BBC has confirmed that the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un will be reading a CBeebies bedtime story in November.
The appearance was recorded in Pyongyang a few days to go, and the scenes will be aired next month.
Kim is the latest celebrity to be involved in the five minute broadcast for the under 7’s, after Dolly Parton was revealed as the latest famous face a few days ago.
In a statement that was released through the North Korean news agency KCNA, Kim said: ‘I was delighted to take part in the broadcast, and the chosen book was ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’ by Judith Kerr.’
‘In many ways, the way that they expected the tiger to come back one day even though he didn’t reminds me of that imperialist pig dog scumbag Donald Trump.’
‘My second backup choice was Hairy Maclary From Donaldson’s Dairy, and on a number of levels the way that Schnitzel Von Krumm has a very low tum reminds me of that imperialist pig dog scumbag Donald Trump.’
‘Don’t even get me started on Superworm. I wish I could watch that imperialist pig dog scumbag Donald Trump wriggle and see him squirm.’
‘All those yummy mummies have spent long enough strumming themselves every time Tom Hardy shows up – it’s time they oohed and ahhed over supreme glorious sex hunk Kim.’
An inside source at the Beeb confirmed that Kim’s appearance is the first in a series entitled ‘Nighty Night Time Stories From Crazed Despotic Lunatics,’ with the ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair and the guy with the cat from Inspector Gadget due to appear in 2018.’
