The President of the United States of America has retweeted a rant by the 60’s and 70’s TV star Alf Garnett about immigrants in the United Kingdom.

He made the tweet along with a message saying: ‘Tough times are ahead unless we start paying attention to the feelings of everyday working men like him.’

When a White House press spokesperson was quizzed about the tweets, he said that Trump didn’t agree 100% with everything that Garnett has said in the past.

He added: ‘The President doesn’t believe that West Ham United is God’s chosen team, although he does feel that the nickname ‘Sabu’ does have a certain ring to it.

Earlier this week, Trump also posted a 17-minute excerpt from an episode of The Brittas Empire, saying: ‘This is how a leisure centre should be run.’
