Tributes have been pouring in from all over the world after police in Norfolk announced that kids TV legend Bungle has been found dead at his holiday home in Cromer.

According to reports, police were called to his static caravan at 8.30 this morning when one of the park’s cleaning staff found the star of Rainbow ‘lying peacefully’ on a folded-up sofa bed in the lounge/bedroom. He was 54.

A police statement read: ‘At this stage, all we can confirm about the deceased is that his family have identified him formally as Bertram Tzanowski – he will be better known as his stage name of Bungle Bear.’

‘Officers attended the property in Cromer this morning, and our specialist team is trying to investigate the cause of death. No further comment will be made at this time.’

According to a close friend of Bungle, he decided to move to the mobile home in 2013 to try and escape from the ‘unrelenting media attention’ after stories emerged about marathon three-in-a-bed sessions that had taken place during the 1980’s and 1990’s.

He said: ‘My good friend Bungle was desperate for the truth to come out, but the other two people had the financial backing to stop their names ever coming out in the press.’

‘The injunction still stands, and now that Bungle has passed away we may never discover the two individuals who bullied him into keeping their identities a secret – they will never be more than ‘Z’ and ‘G’.’

Shortly after Bungle’s death was announced, fellow bear entertainer Michael Sootson posted a moving and emotional tribute on Facebook.

He said ‘Bungle brought joy to millions of children every day on Rainbow, and he was a pioneer in the world of kids TV. While actors like myself were ‘hand in rear’, Bungle had the idea of allowing an entire human inside, and this gave him a range of movement that I could never achieve.’

‘It’s a real shame that George became the gay icon in later years, as by definition Bungle would have made an ideal hairy bear.’

Mr Tzanokski’s family have asked for privacy at this ‘difficult and personal’ time, but Southend News Network has overheard a number of voicemails that show that a furious row is already developing about his £175m estate and inheritance.

It has emerged this morning that a previously-unknown daughter has come forward and claimed that she is the rightful heir, with media reports stating that the unnamed half-bear, half-panda daughter was the result of a trip to Beijing in 1985 to perform in the Matthew Corbett Roadshow.

A source has said that Bungle’s ‘crossbreed love child’ was brought back to the UK to train for a long showbiz career due to her immaculate knowledge of English.
